Beauty and The Beast won't be arriving in theatres anytime soon, but things behind the scenes are beginning to get underway.

If patiently waiting for the next two years to go by isn't your thing, then maybe a few fun facts will hold you over. On Tuesday The Hollywood Reporter revealed exactly when the new movie will be hitting theatres, adding to the steady stream of Beauty and the Beast news which has been floating through over the last few months.

For now, here are all the answers (so far) to all your pressing questions about the highly anticipated Disney flick.

When is it coming out?
March 17, 2017

Who's directing?
Bill Condon (The Fifth Estate, Dreamgirls) will be helming the film.

Who's handling the script?
Evan Spiliotopolous penned an early version of the script, though Stephen Chbosky has taken the project over. Chbosky worked with star Emma Watson back when he adapted his own novel, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, for the big screen.

Alright, so who's playing my favorite characters from the animated film?
Harry Potter alum Emma Watson has taken on the starring role of Belle. The title role of Beast (as well as the prince) will be played by Dan Stevens, who got his start on the instant British classic Downton Abbey before moving on the pursue larger film projects.

The good-natured inventor and Belle's father, Maurice, will be played by Kevin Kline, with Fast and Furious 6 star Luke Evans portraying the charming though villainous Gaston. Josh Gad, aka Frozen's Olaf, is currently in negotiations to play Gaston's sidekick, LeFou.

Oh, and Watson's fellow Harry Potter veteran Emma Thompson will play the delightfully nurturing Mrs. Potts.

What about the music?
Fans of the 1991 original animated classic by hear a familiar tune or two as Alan Menken returns to score the live-action movie. In addition, Menken will be teaming with Sir Tim Rice to include a few completely original songs.

Where are they filming this?
Beauty and the Beast will be produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films. Production will begin in May at Shepperton Studios in London, England.

In keeping with the original classic the live-action film will be a musical, a fact which had Watson pretty nervous when she first signed on. "I sing, so that's really unexpected," the actress told Total Film this month. "I've never had to do that for a film before, and I think people will be interested to see me do something very different like that."

"It gives me a different challenge, really," she added, "That's terrifying in and of itself."
