When Call the Midwife returns to the United States, there's a good chance that it's going to remain a success with more positive feedback coming soon.

Patsy Storyline On 'Call The Midwife' Will Be 'Exciting'

On Tuesday, the show's Twitter page posted a link to an interview Stephen McGann (Patrick Turner) had with Science Festival. The actor dished on how well the British drama is doing and when he knew it would become the iconic series it is today.

"We knew it was good when we did out first birth scene," McGann revealed. "Everybody in the room cried- burly camera operators as well as the actors! It was so moving and compelling. But nobody had any idea just how much the series would catch the public's imagination. We continue to be overwhelmed by the worldwide response."

The actor then talked about how important it is for science to be used on the series; as an avid fan of science, McGadd gave the impression that perhaps some elements related to this might be used more on the show.

"As Professor Brain Cox has argued, there should be no part of public life from which science is considered absent or irrelevant," he said. "Why should it be? Our popular culture is the way our society 'thinks out loud' about the things it cares about- through drama, journalism, art, politics. Surely science- as one of the key ways that we think about our world- belongs in those places."

Call the Midwife returns to the United States on Sunday, March 29 at 8 p.m. ET on PBS.
