Britney Spears Niece Maddie Sports 'Baby One More Time' Look For Celebrity Day At School (PHOTO)
Britney Spears' niece has decided to "do it again."
Maddie Aldridge reprised her famous aunt's Catholic girl-inspired look from her 1998 music video for "Baby One More Time."
Aldridge's mother, Jamie-Lynn Spears, posted the photo on Instagram with the caption: "Guess who Maddie want to (be) for Celebrity Day #HomecomingWeek."
In the image, the 4-year-old is donning the look made famous by Spears: two braided pigtails, a pleated skirt and a cropped sweater.
The schoolgirl-gone-bad image and catchy tune helped Spears become an overnight success at the time.
"Celebrity Day" is one of many events held at Maddie's school when they celebrate "Homecoming Week."
Jamie-Lynn Spears made headlines five years ago when she became pregnant at the age of 16. At the time, she headlined her own hit show on Nickeloden, "Zoey 101."
Jamie-Lynn opened up for the first time about being pregnant at 16 in the March 2012 issue of Glamour magazine. She discussed how having a child at a young age affected her relationship with her daughter's father, and the backlash she received for being an unwed, teenage mother.
The 21-year-old also shared Maddie's love for her cousins, Britney's two sons, and how much she looks up to her favorite aunt who is now a co-judge on "The X-Factor USA."
"Maddie's biggest concern in life is when she gets to see her cousins next. She's always asking, 'Why can't we have [Britney's sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline] Preston and JJ here?' " Jamie-Lynn said. "They're very close. They're like brothers and sister. They're so stinking cute. And Maddie loves her Aunt Britney's songs. She just loves the whole dress-up thing that goes with it. She loves dancing and singing and all of that. I definitely think music is in her genes."
She also opened up about her thoughts on MTV's "Teen Mom."
"I remember thinking, Oh my God, I cannot wait to see this show because there's someone else out there. I mean, I feel for those girls. I've been that girl. It does show that motherhood is hard," she said. "There were so many times-especially when Maddie would get sick-when I would cry to myself and think, I really don't know what to do. It takes bravery to be a young mom, and it does take bravery to let the world watch."
Jamie-Lynn is now working on a career as a songwriter. She is lives in Nashville with her 4-year-old and she said her first priority is being a mother.
