Actress Molly Parker dished about her character arc in season 3 and working with Kevin Spacey on House of Cards.

Showrunner Talks About Sexual Violence In Season 3 Finale

Parker, who plays the part of Jackie Sharp, spoke to the Wall Street Journal about this chapter of the Netflix political drama. For fans who haven't watched the entire season beware spoilers.

The actress spoke about how Jackie's political aspirations are stymied by her own rigtheousness.

"She has this straight-up ambition that gets thwarted by herself," she said. "She would like more than anything back in the leadership. The aspect of her that is concerned with ambition is a very real part for her. Somehow, she keeps getting led off by these principals."

Parker also spoke some about working with Spacey, who plays Frank Underwood, in the show. She reveales that Spacey was a whole lot of fun to work with. "I don't have a blooper reel. It's a very serious show, but is quite funny in parts," she said. "Kevin is hilarious. He makes me laugh all the time."

A big twist in Jackie's character arc in the show also has to do with the fact that she gets married to look good in her campaign.

"Beau [Willimon] has talked about this show being about a marriage," she said. "I think he chose to really focus on that this season. In the writing, he would juxtapose scenes of Claire and Francis, Remy and Jackie...we're interested in the relationships of these people."
