Last week in court prosecutors showed before and after photos of a closet in Hernandez's North Attleboro home and they believe that shoes he wore the night Lloyd was killed are now missing.
On Saturday CNN reported that the June 2013 photos show the shoes that both Hernandez and Carlos Ortiz were wearing the night Lloyd was shot.
Aaron Hernandez's Fiance MIA In Court Last Week
In the second photo, which was taken in Nov. 2014, all of the shoes in that same closet appear to be there except for the shoes Hernandez and Ortiz were wearing that night.
The prosecution believes that Hernandez's fiancé, Shayanna Jenkins, is responsible for the disappearance of the shoes and she may also be responsible for disposing the murder weapon as well.
Back in February, TMZ Sports reported that Jenkins has been caught lying to the grand jury 29 times and prosecutors think she could have helped her fiancé get rid of the alleged murder weapon.
Prosecutors used new surveillance video that shows Jenkins removing a huge box from the house. The video shows Jenkins leaving the basement with a huge trash bag.
The prosecution is eager to prove that Jenkins disposed of the bag after receiving a coded text message from her fiancé and the bag could contain the missing murder weapon.
Hernandez signed a $40 million contract as a tight end with the Patriots back in 2010.The athlete was arrested in June 2013 and his being charged with the murder of his friend Lloyd and is also facing charges for two other murders.
Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges, and he currently remains in the jail without bail.
