5 Seconds of Summer 2015: Aussies Sign Hey Violet To Their Label, ‘Instant Love’ [VIDEO]
As of Monday, Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford and Ashton Irwin teased some big news was on the way with the official launch of their label Hi Or Hey Records, which is under Capitol Records.

The 5SOS guys mentioned on their label's website that they would be signing their own bands to the label.
Hood even tweeted, "love all the bands on ur label," which seemed like he was hinting at some big news, which turned out to be true, since the band has officially signed their first act onto their label.
5 Seconds of Summer Launches Hi Or Hey Records & Teases Future Of Label
Tuesday, the Aussies took to Twitter to dish on the first band signing to Hi Or Hey Records.
They explained how the label was initially set up last year and how they have been looking for a band they "really believe in."
They have found that band. It's Hey Violet, which is a four-piece based out of Los Angeles.
"So introducing you all to our first ever @HiOrHeyRecords signing... @HEYVIOLET!" the Aussies gushed.
Hey Violet consists of Nia Lovelis who plays drums and sings; Miranda Miller who plays guitar and keys and sings too; Rena Lovelis who plays bass and sings and Casey Moreta who plays lead guitar and sings.
The 5SOS guys even made a video, which can be viewed below of them discussing signing Hey Violet.
"We're looking for some punk rockers who have big dreams," Irwin shared, and Hey Violet fit the bill.
The guys dished on watching Hey Violet perform during Halloween and Hood revealed he was "genuinely excited."
"They love music to death," Irwin said about the Hey Violet band members.
"Instant love," is how Irwin described he and his bandmates getting along with Hey Violet.
"We just gelled," he added.
Hey Violet got in on the excitement of being the first band signed to Hi Or Hey Records. They're "so excited" over everything that is currently happening.
5SOS urged their fans to check out Hey Violet and shared the Los Angeles-based band's latest music video, which is for a song called This Is Why.
