One Australian couple will certainly never forget their wedding day after they received a surprise performance by Ed Sheeran during their first dance.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the 24-year-old singer/songwriter was brought into the couple, Matt and Kya's wedding reception to sing his romantic chart-topping hit, Thinking Out Loud , for their first dance at their Sydney wedding reception.

His surprise appearance was arranged by KIIS FM's Kyle Sandilands and Jackie "O" Henderson , after the couple called into the radio show to explain about their hardship planning their wedding. Matt explained to the show that Kya's mother had taken her own life, and that as a result, the couple no longer had the money to pay for a wedding. The radio show then gifted the couple a $60,000 wedding, but didn't mention to them until the day of that Sheeran would be their special guest.

The surprise began when Sandilands and Henderson first crashed the reception to congratulate the couple on their big day, before announcing they had gotten them a wedding singer as well-and the couple was shell-shocked to see Sheeran walk in.

"It is time for our first dance, and that is a very memorable moment at a wedding, so we wanted to make your first dance a little bit more special today," Henderson said. "So we're going to leave you with a little wedding singer that we organized and that we hope you enjoy everyone."

Adding to the sweet memory, Sheeran also joked with the couple as he left, encouraging them to enjoy their wedding night.

"Have a good wedding," he said. "Make those babies tonight."
