A lot was destroyed during the explosion in New York City, including a celebrity's apartment.

On Friday, Yahoo! Celebrity reported that Sopranos star Drea De Matteo lost her apartment in the NYC East Village explosion on Thursday.

The actress took to Instagram to share photos of her building burning down in flames as she looked on.

The first snap featured the building completely engulfed in flames while a fire truck was spraying water trying to put it out. The terrifying scene was blocked off.

"NYC's finest trying to put out the flamed to mine n many others apartments. Speechless... [emoticon featuring praying hands] for those that are hurt," she captioned the pic.

Several fans of the actress took to the comments section of her image to share their condolences and expressed sympathy for her.

The second photo Matteo posted featured a close-up of the bulding from a different angle. Burned to pieces, rubble and remains of people's belongings were on the streets as several firehoses sprayed toward the building. One firefighter was seen in a crane.

"A hole where my NYC home of the last 22 years once stood... RIP 123 2nd Avenue," the star captioned the photo.

Again, fans and followers expressed their concern for the star and were thankful that she and her family were not among those that were hurt.

Matteo has not posted on Instagram since those last two photos were shared.

The large fire caused two buildings to collapse which left 19 people injured; four of them were critically injured.
