'Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn-Part 2' Soundtrack, Nikki Reed, Green Day, Ellie Goulding
"Twi-hards" can rejoice now that the cat has been out of the bag as to when they can pick up a copy of the soundtrack for the final "Twilight" film, "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 2."
Guest appearances on the soundtrack include "Twilight" actress Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie Hale in the films, for her singing debut. The track, "All I Ever Needed" is a duet with her husband Paul McDonald who was a contestant on "American Idol."
Rock legends Green Day lend their vocals to the album's lead song, "Forgotten Day." The band shared their excitement about reaching out to a newer, younger audience for the soundtrack.
"When we were asked to be part of the Breaking Dawn -- Part 2 soundtrack, we readily agreed because the films are an insane cultural phenomenon," Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt told The Hollywood Reporter. "We have always been impressed with the way the Twilight soundtracks are carefully curated."
Singer Christina Perri returned for the second time around, after she appeared on the soundtrack for the last album, "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Soundtrack" with her single "A Thousand Years."
Perri's follow-up for the final album, "A Thousand Years (Part 2)," features Steve Kazee this time around.
"I am so honored and excited to be involved again in this final film and soundtrack," Perri told THR. "I'm also super happy 'A Thousand Years' is making a comeback, but it's not the same ... you'll just have to wait and see how."
Other singers who round out the album include Ellie Goulding for "Bittersweet," Feist, Passion Pit, St. Vincent and Reeve Carney, according to the report.
Chop Shop and Atlantic Records will release Green Day's lead single, "Forgotten Day", the same day fans can place their pre-orders for the album on Oct. 23.
The soundtrack arrives in stores on Nov. 13, three days ahead of the final "Twilight" film's worldwide release in theaters on Nov. 16.
