It is widely known that Cote de Pablo left NCIS on her own terms in 2013 and there has been an uproar from fans ever since.

De Pablo initially joined the NCIS cast in 2005 as Ziva David just as Sasha Alexander's character Kate Todd was killed off.

Fans of Ziva and the blooming relationship between her and Michael Weatherly's character Tony DiNozzo have not been happy with how things ended between them. Ziva was last seen in the second episode of Season 11, but she remains living so there is always hope for her return.

De Pablo has been doing tons of press lately in support of the CBS mini-series she is starring in called The Dovekeepers and during an interview with Yahoo! TV the actress dished that she actually wishes things played out slightly different with her character's departure on NCIS.

She initially shared, "I do miss working on NCIS!"

She remains in contact with Weatherly, Brian Dietzen and Rocky Carroll quite a bit she revealed.

Fans affectionately refer to the Ziva and Tony romance as "Tiva" so de Pablo revealed, "There is always hope for Tiva."

De Pablo has mentioned though she felt her character's departure was a bit rushed so she explained, "I wanted to stay for more episodes, but I had no choice in that matter and so you never know cause they still may wrap it up."

NCIS airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
