Yahoo! News reported that a new life-size statue of the late actress erected in her honor, but it has locals questioning.

Part of the issues they are experiencing with the statue is the unflattering depiction of the I Love Lucy star.

A fan of the actress who lives right outside the town in Jamestown, thinks the statue should be replaced.

"Lucille Ball was not only an amazing comedienne, but she was a stunning beauty. Her sense of humor only made her more beautiful," he said. "This statue looks nothing like the beautiful Lucy we all know. If for no other reason than that... the statue should go."

This man, who chose to remain anonymous, even started a Facebook page for the cause entitled, We Love Lucy! Get Rid of this Statue.

"I don't think this can be repaired," he said. "Take a look at the beautiful statues Nick at Nite created for Bewitched and The Honeymooners and Bob Newhart... it needs to be something more like those."

Even though the man is unhappy with how the statue turned out, he doesn't want to offend the artist, Dave Poulin, as he has had other work that he thinks is "quite good."

"I think it looks like a monster. That is just my opinion," he said. "When you see it at night, it is frightening."

And even though the Celoron Mayor, Scott Schrecengost, wants to give the people what they want, it would cost a lot of money. It would reportedly cost between $8,00 and $10,000 to have the artist recast the statue.

Schrecengost reportedly does not was the taxpayers to have to pasy for this, so they have set up a fund instead to raise the money.
