Chatter On Daphne's Professor On 'Switched At Birth'

There are a number of storylines that could take place in upcoming episodes, some that could be more intense than others. The series already took on one of the most controversial plots so far with Bay's campus assault, which definitely caused the public to speak up.

In an interview with Flavorwire, series creator Lizzy Weiss revealed that she expected a lot of negative feedback to come her way after this incident took place. But to her surprise, it was pretty much the opposite.

"I was prepared for (some) women and rape survivors to be really angry that we were telling a story in which the act is clearly not labeled 'assault,'" Weiss said. "But to my surprise, women (and survivors) are just really happy that we are putting the story out there and getting the conversation going."

Switched at Birth is expected to return this summer on ABC Family.
