On Saturday, Yahoo! Celebrity reported that Fox News anchor Chris Wallace fat-shamed Clarkson during a radio interview.

Rather than discussing politics like intended, the host, Mike Gallagher, began talking about the singer's weight.

The two men began discussing Little Caesar's bacon-wrapped crust pizza when the conversation turned ugly.

Gallagher was the first to bring up the American Idol alum when he said: "Have you seen Kelly Clarkson? You know the singer, Kelly Clarkson? Holy cow, did she blow up."

Wallace paused as if to think if he should say what he was about to when he said, "Really? Do we want to talk about some of your friends? Kelly Clarkson's got a lovely voice." He continued: "She could stay off the deep dish pizza for a little while."

Following the birth of her daughter, River Rose, in June 2014 she began making headlines for her increase in weight.

But the singer, herself, said this isn't the first time her weight has been the center of attention during The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday.

"I love that people think [the topic] is new. Like, welcome to the past 13 years," she said. "I yo-yo. Sometimes I'm more fit and I get into kickboxing and hardcore, and then sometimes I don't and go, 'Nope, I'd rather have wine!'"

It took less than 24 hours for Wallace to apologize for his remarks, according to Mediaite.

"I sincerely apologize to Kelly Clarkson for my offensive comment," Wallace said. "I admire her remarkable talent and that should have been the focus of any discussion about her."
