Amelia Heinle Talks Getting Emmy Nomination For 'The Young and the Restless'
This year he is up against Jacob Young and Scott Clifton from The Bold and the Beautiful as well as General Hospital's Chad Duell.
Last Wednesday, Soap Central dished that the actor found out about his nomination while watering plants on his patio.
The actor also revealed the scene he submitted that earned him the Emmy nomination.
It happens to be a scene with his onscreen brother Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore).
"When Shemar came back after his duties at Quantico," St. John shared, adding, "Our first episode together, Malcolm knew that Neil was blind already, and he had come back to town to give his brother some advice and care."
"We did two episodes, and the second I had considered as well [to submit], but I just thought the first one had a little more substance to it. It was just a consistent and steady, back-and-forth duel between two brothers. I felt it had a better chance than the other episode," he further explained.
The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
