For the first time in the trial, Hernandez's lawyer acknowledged that the defendant was present at the scene of the crime and did see it happen but said that he simply didn't know what to do.

On Tuesday, Yahoo News reported that the defense gave their closing arguments and they urged jurors to find the defendant not guilty of murder.

"Did he make all the right decisions? No," lawyer James Sultan said during his closing arguments. "He was a 23-year-old kid who witnessed something, a shocking killing, committed by someone he knew. He didn't know what to do, so he just put one foot in front of the other."

According to the site, Hernandez's attorney said that his client's friends Ernest Wallace and Carlos Ortiz are responsible for killing Lloyd. Both Wallace and Ortiz have pleaded not guilty and are currently awaiting trial.

Based on their evidence, the prosecutors have concluded that Hernandez and his two friends picked Lloyd up at his home in Boston, drove him to the industrial park, and shot him to death.

Despite the juror's decision, Hernandez will remain behind bars due to the fact that he is facing two other murder charges for allegedly killing two men back in July of 2012.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the charges surrounding both cases, and he currently remains in the jail without bail.
