Now that the giraffe has been born, the TV network will be re-airing the birth and a one-hour special, Giraffe Birth Live, to honor the newest resident of the Dallas Zoo.

The Dallas Zoo took to Facebook to announce that Katie has made her way into the world:

"HEY, WORLD!: Meet our new nearly 6-feet-tall, 100+ pound baby giraffe! Mama Katie and calf are spending quality time bonding right now while our keepers stuff their faces with pizza! We're head over heels in love already. Still don't know the gender yet; we're allowing Katie and her baby some space. Thank you all for watching this miracle of life unfold live on Animal Planet TV."

They have since followed up with new pictures of the calf for their eager followers. In one photo, the calf is seen getting nuzzled by its mother. The zoo wrote:

"HEY, BABY! Here's a brand-new pic of Katie's new little punkin. Look at that smile! We think he/she knows how many people are already in love."

Tune into Animal Planet tonight at 9/8c and 11/10c on Animal Planet to catch up on the little tike's debut.
