‘General Hospital’ Cast News: Vanessa Marcil Returning As Brenda Barrett For Nurse’s Ball? [PHOTO]
One of Sonny Corinthos' famous past loves could soon arrive back in Port Charles to strip up trouble on General Hospital.
Vanessa Marcil, who portrayed Brenda Barrett on the soap a few times between 1992-2013, is rumored to be bringing her character back just in time for the Nurse's Ball episodes, which air May 1, 4 and 5.
Though she hasn't openly confirmed her return, Marcil did share a photo on Instagram April 7 where she hinted she had big news to share, though she didn't specify what the news was.

She captioned a photo of herself standing in front of a mirror with a couch behind her However, Marcil's news was spoiled when she shared the post on her Twitter page, fellow General Hospital alum Kimberly McCullogh, who has been portraying Robin Scorpio Drake on and off for years as well, commented on the tweet and pointed out that she knew exactly where Marcil was when she took the picture.

With the annual Nurse's Ball set to air in the coming weeks, Marcil's returning to dressing rooms for the show could mean she's going to be a part of the special episodes-which could bring big trouble for her past love Sonny (Maurice Benard).
Since he was pardoned for murdering AJ and was officially released from prison, Sonny has reunited with his past love Carly (Laura Wright) for good-and Brenda's appearance could spell trouble for the couple's reunion.
General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
