The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 was nominated in four categories at the MTV Movie Awards, and hit the half way mark with two wins.

The movie earned the top spot in two categories but perhaps not the most coveted ones. Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Katniss in the series, won for Best Musical Moment, and Elizabeth Banks, who portrays Effie Trinket, claimed Best On-Screen Transformation. Mockingjay Part 1 was also nominated for Best Movie of the Year and Best Female Performance for Lawrence's portrayal of Katniss. The Fault of Our Stars took trumped Mockingjay Part 1 in both categories. Shailene Woodley won Best Female Performance for her role in the movie.

The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 picked up a bunch of big awards at the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.

Mockingjay Part 1 won Best Male Action Star for Liam Hemsworth's portrayal of Gale Hawthorne, Best Female Action Star for Jennifer Lawrence's portrayal of Katniss Everdeen, and Best Movie.

Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 stars Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark), Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne), Woody Harrelson (Haymitch Abernathy) and Elizabeth Banks (Effie Trinket).

Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 will hit theaters on November 20.
