New details have emerged about the lawsuit K. Michelle won after her ex-boyfriend Memphitz claimed she defamed him when she said he physically abused her on VH1's Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.

Wright was seeking $14 million for compensatory damages and $50 million in punitive damages. While K. Michelle never said Memphitz's name, people in the entertainment world knew who she was referring to. Memphitz also confirmed it himself in several interviws.
The presiding Fulton County judge over the case, Robert McBurney, ruled in favor of K. Michelle as Wright could not prove that her allegations were not true.
Memphitz Claims K. Michelle Said He Got Her Pregnant 'I Knew That Was A Lie'
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Memphitz (real name Michkey Wright) filed a lawsuit against K. Michelle (real name Kimberly Michelle Pate) and Viacom (the parent company of VH1) after she made her statements on the show back in 2012.
A statement in part also reads that the production companies involved "exercised due diligence concerning Defendant Pate's domestic claims. The record shows that they reasonably believed Defendant Pate during production of LHHA and that they still do today."
What might not have helped Wright's case was for him to give exact details on how K. Michelle defamed him. Even still, he originally only sued Viacom, VH1 and production companies NFGTV and Monami Entertainment. He later put K. Michelle into the mix.
Meanwhile, Toya seems to be moving on with life after the ruling came down. She shared a picture on Instagram just after news of the loss hit the Internet. In the snapshot she's smiling with a glass of what looks like wine. She added the caption, "F the bull life's great!"
Memphitz has stated in previous interviews that he wanted to go on the show and defend himself, but his wife Toya Wright suggested against it. She told him that he just needs to take legal action.
