The custody of Avery Jerome-Corinthos has been a hot button issue since her birth, and for the second time in her short life, she could be the victim of a horrendous kidnapping on General Hospital.

Ava Becomes Desperate To Save Avery

After she was rescued from Franco (Roger Howarth) and Nina (Michelle Stafford) originally, she lived with her siblings, Kiki (Hayley Erin) and Morgan (Bryan Craig), until her father, Sonny (Maurice Benard) was released from prison. Sonny's time with his daughter was brief however, after Michael (Chad Duell) also filed for custody and won.

Unfortunately for Michael, Kiki and Morgan conspired to have custody taken away from him, and switched his allergy pills with a more dangerous drug, prompted him to drink, and caught his accidentally tipping Avery's stroller over on camera. As a result, he too has now lost custody--and they once again are in charge of their sister's safekeeping.

Michael Makes A Costly Mistake

"Our sister is going to be back with her family," Kiki happily says to Morgan in a preview clip for the Monday, April 13 episode.

Unfortunately, Kiki is speaking too soon--because someone is in the examination room where Avery is being held by Child Protective Services--and could be plotting to kidnap her--and her kidnapper could be anyone.

Nina reacted poorly after seeing the video footage of Avery, and already had an altercation with Kiki while at the hospital--and she could now feel a need to protect the child she once believed belong to her. Added to the possibility of her kidnapping the infant, she is currently missing from the hotel suite she and Franco share--a fact that has him nervous and scared about what it is she's up to.

"I wish I knew where the hell she was," he says to his father, Scott (Kin Shriner) in the clip.

Avery could also be kidnapped by Michael, who is now missing from the Quartermaine mansion--and his disappearance has Sabrina (Teresa Castillo) worried about what he also may do.

"What're you thinking?" Felix (Marc Samuel) asks her in the clip.

Her kidnapper could even be Silas (Michael Easton), who has agreed to Ava (Maura West) that he would help her die before her cancer killed her--but may be having second thoughts. IN a last ditch attempt to try and convince Ava her life is still worth living, he may grab Avery and take her back to New York with him to see Ava one more time.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
