According to a new report, the Bravo series' ratings haven't been impressive, but with the controversial couple's televised break-up coming soon, they are expected to prevent the show from a possible cancellation.
"Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis have broke up, and split for good. Their breakup will be detailed in an explosive 2-3 episode arch later in the season. And that arch could not get to television sooner," LALATE reported on Monday.
Thomas Ravenel Forgot To Mention Kathryn Dennis In His Campaign Speech
Ravenel and Dennis began dating during filming on Southern Charm season one, but split sometime during season two, after welcoming their first child together. While fans will have to wait until later in the season to find out exactly what went down between Ravenel and Dennis, it's sure to make for a dramatic on-screen moment.
"Southern Charm ratings have been plummeting fast. The show is now in the ratings realm where prior BravoTV shows have been cancelled," the site continued. "While no official announcement has been released about a possible Southern Charm season three, LALATE can report that if ratings get worse the show is highly unlikely to be invited back for a third season."
Southern Charm airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on Bravo. Below is a sneak peek of tonight's new episode, which features a tense moment between Ravenel and Dennis.
