'Revenge' Season 2, Episode 3 Spoiler: Three Men Make New 'Love Square' [Promo Trailer]
Episode three of the ABC series "Revenge" airs on Oct. 14 at 9/8c.
Last episode, we saw the person who knew the most about Emily Thorne's mother die after getting shot by Aidan Mathis, Emily's new love interest. Now Emily must resort to Victoria Grayson for answers about her mother's disappearace, and in episode three we see that the two might be getting a bit closer than usual, though of course stll keeping their guards up.
"Keep your friends close but this enemy closer," the promotional trailer for "Confidence" stated. When Emily tells Victoria that her husband tried to kill her, Victoria answers, "I'm more concerned about you." There is almost absolute certainty that the two of them will try to get at each other's throats as much as possible, but Emily might have another person on her side helping out this time.
The beginning of the trailer shows Daniel Grayson (Victoria's son) saying, "my mother faked her own kidnapping. I despise her," with which Emily responds, "the only way to beat her is to play her game better than she does."
Emily might also be starting a romantic relationship with Aidan, who saved her life at the end of episode two by shooting the white-haired man who tried to kill her. Additionally, Jack and Emily are seen kissing in the promo trailer for "Confidence," and that might say something about any hopes of a Daniel/Emily relationship do over (the two were engaged last season but ended it after Daniel found out that Emily kissed Jack Porter).
A promo photo released by ABC for the new episode shows Jack and Amanda Clarke kissing, so news on her relationship and the impending birth of their son will also be coming up. The couple has been distant recently but after a (rigged) pregnancy test confirmed that Jack is indeed the baby's father, he has come around to being more supporter of Amanda and the baby.
However, with Aidan now in the picture, it seems like the love triangle of Daniel, Emily and Jack has now become a "love square." Josh Bowman, who plays Daniel, said the following in a recent interview with Rolling Stone about his character:
"I've just been introduced to Aiden, so it'll be interesting to see where that goes. I know Takeda, but I don't know Aiden is Takeda's pawn, that he's there for a different reason and he's helping Emily out. And Emily will come between us. I'll tell him how I feel about her and obviously have no idea that he knows Emily, so it's going to be interesting to play that dynamic - another triangle. Now it's a love square. Jack, Aiden, Daniel and Emily."
Bowman also revealed that Aiden is a "previous true love" of Emily's, so drama is bound to happen if the men start fighting over her heart.
Episode three, "Confidence," airs on Oct. 14.
