Madonna has been shocking the masses for years decades as an entertainer who pushes boundaries, and at Coachella this year she has managed to cause quite the frenzy yet again!

Madonna Opens Up About Dating Tupac Shakur

During a performance at the annual outdoor music festival on Sunday, the "Ghosttown" singer joined Drake on stage for a portion of the Canadian rapper's headlining set. Towards the end of her performance, while Drake was sitting in a chair on stage, the former material girl shoved her tongue down Drizzy's throat. And while it's likely that "The Motto" rapper was in on the stunt, with his head perfectly leaned back in position, it seems like M took things to their extreme, powerfully smooching Drake, who looked stunned as the potentially forced makeout session concluded.

Madonna Issues An Apology For Controversial PHOTOS She Released On Twitter To Promote 'Rebel Heart'

"B****, I'm Madonna," Madonna declared before walking off the stage.

"Oh s***! What the f**** just happened?" Drake then said, as can be viewed in the clip below.

Drake may have looked disgusted, but on his Instagram he insisted it was a high moment in his career as he dished, "Moments to write home about," with one photo of their intense lip lock.

The rapper then called her a "queen" while sharing another, more close-up view of their hot and heavy smooch.

The whole situation got us thinking about some of Madonna's most wild PDA moments over the years and we've gone ahead and ranked them from best to worst.

The Best: Kissing Britney Spears AND Christina Aguilera at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards

At the time of these now fairly innocent-seeming on-stage kisses were pretty scandalous. Spears' smooch with the icon got way more buzz than Aguilera's, but both are noteworthy. Spears, Aguilera and Madonna are still big names in the music industry and these kisses went down in the history books.

To refresh your memory, check out the video below of the three pop singers performance of "Like a Virgin" and "Hollywood" from the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards that led to the kisses. Missy Elliott joined them on stage for a bit of her smash hit "Work It" right after the kisses occurred.

The Second Best: Gyrating and grinding on Miley Cyrus during Cyrus' 2014 MTV Unplugged gig

While it's more controversial (and more recent) than the slightly suggestive kisses the icon shared with Spears and Aguilera in 2003, these PDA moments with Cyrus aren't too bad.

The two pop stars were singing a medley of "Don't Tell Me" and "We Can't Stop," which led to the frontal/frontal gyrating and later on during the performance Cyrus spanked Madonna, which is still fairly innocent. Cyrus even grinded on Madonna from behind!

Check out the performance below.

After the gig, Cyrus tweeted a highly reflective missive on the incident:

The Meh: Coachella kiss with Drake

As we explained in the rundown above, Mad's forced lip-lock with Drake is causing quite the buzz right now, but it's still not the worst of her PDA moments over the years. And as you can see by the top two entries, it's not the best. It's just...kind of middle of the road for Madonna.

The moment itself came off as kind of gross and Drake's reaction on stage is forever burned into our minds, but he's insisting it wasn't a bad situation and honestly, she's had more scandalous/TMI moments displaying affection.

The Second Worst: Simulated masturbation during her 1990 Blond Ambition World Tour

It was while on tour to promote her now classic album, Like a Prayer, that Madonna performed arguably her most infamous on stage antics: a stimulated masturbation scene during "Like a Virgin." The staging, which you can watch below, was preserved for future generations thanks to the 1991 documentary Madonna: Truth or Dare.

There's a lot of promiscuous touching and Madonna humps the bed on stage, but the mock orgasm does seem reasonably convincing.

The Worst: Sex, the book

Published in 1992, during the height of her "Queen of Obscene" stage, Sex by Madonna was a coffee table book featuring an erotic storyline accompanied by photos featuring the singer, which ranged from softcore to simulated BDSM scenes with cameos that varied from Isabella Rossellini to Vanilla Ice. The book was an instant bestseller and has even earned some recognition years later as a sex-positive post-feminist art entry, but it still crosses some lines--which you can see for yourself via the video below.
