The next episode of The Good Wife is very aptly titled 'The End,' as Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is seen rapidly riding the downward spiral.

The recently revealed preview for the episode hints at Alicia's stint as State's Attorney being nothing more than a flash in the pan. It seems like Alicia will give in to the pressure from the party demanding she quit in the previous episode, and they've very nicely done her in. In the last episode, 'Winning Ugly,' she was tricked by her attorney, who charged her with rigging the election. In the clip for 'The End,' Alicia is seen breaking down, as she thanks her husband, Governor Peter Florrick (Chris Noth), for being by her side through the entire ordeal, and supporting her. It seems like an ironic inversion of the way the show started, Alicia at a press con, looking helpless, with Peter by her side.

In the preview Alicia and Diane (Christine Baranski) are also seen drawing daggers at each other. Both of them accuse the other of betrayal, although we can only guess what this might be about.

Will Johnny Elfman Return To Pursue Alicia?

In other news, TVLine revealed that Archie Panjabi, who plays Kalinda on the show, had recently tweeted a picture of her and Matt Czuchry, who plays her lover, Cary Agos, with the following caption:

"The last time I film with #MattCzuchry on @TheGoodWife_CBS."

Season 6 is Panjabi's last on the show and little is known about how her character arc will be concluded.

'The End' will air on April 19 on CBS.
