On Saturday, TIME reported that it is National Record Store Day, which is an annual event that promotes independent record stores.

According to the report, stores across the world are selling a limited supply of records release primarily for this holiday.

This year's selection includes over 400 exclusive releases. The records include: David Bowie's Changes, Bob Dylan's The Night We Called It a Day and 15 Everly Hits from The Everly Brothers.

One co-owner of a record store in New York revealed that people were lining up for the releases. Jeff Harrigfield said people were outside The Woodstock Music Shop before it opened at 9 a.m. with the first customer showing up at 5:30 a.m.

The owner of the store revealed that his person favorite this year is a copy of Elvis' first recording that features My Happiness and That's When Your Heartaches Begin.

According to the Star Tribune, an owner of Hymie's Vintage Records said that the holiday may be "overblown" at this point.

"It's gotten so janky and ridiculous, it might be overblown at this point," said Dave Hoenack. "I don't think there's anybody rushing out to buy a limited-edition A-ha record."
