5 Seconds of Summer is gearing up to hit the road next month for their headlining tour, but the band is also now performing at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend.

On Monday, BBC Radio 1's Scott Mills announced Ashton Irwin, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood would be performing at the Big Weekend on the main stage!
The Big Weekend will take place on May 23 and 24 in Earlham Park, Norwich, England, United Kingdom and consists of a total of 34 acts with 5SOS amongst the headliners for the first day.

Irwin also tweeted about the gig on his personal Twitter. He seems thrilled and showed emphasis on "W E E K E N D" by including spaces between each letter and making each letter capitalized.
The band will be in Paris, France the night before for their Rock Out With Your Socks Out Tour, which is a sold out show.
The Big Weekend is sold out too.
They will resume their headlining tour on May 28 in Dublin, Ireland with another sold out show.
