The episode is called Because and the executive producers, Caroline Dries and Julie Plec, of the series revealed this episode is "a really special" one since a crew member from The Vampire Diaries directed it as his directorial debut. Geoff Shotz has been a camera operator on the series.

The episode revolves around bringing Caroline's humanity back and in the video, which is below, that The CW Television Network uploaded to its YouTube account on Wednesday, clips can be sneak peeked.

At one point it is revealed that Elena (Nina Dobrev), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan managed to lock up Caroline in a B&B.

"Caroline in captivity," Plec shared.

There are bars on a window she's peering out of as she says, "They vampire-proofed a B&B," with such disgust dripping from her voice.

Caroline is very much unaware of Stefan's humanity being back on. She still thinks he has it off since he fakes it pretty well.

Stefan wants to "drain her of her blood, make her weak and then bombard her with everything she used to care about. Memories of who she was. Her friendships. Her mom."

That will not be an easy feat since Caroline will become even nastier in the episode. She'll get under Elena's skin by asking Damon, "How does it feel to know that you can't give someone a life that she really wants?"

"You're a real b---- when you're hungry," Damon states in return, but that's not all the havoc Caroline will cause.

"Caroline's not going to go down without a fight," Dries shared.

Caroline will force Elena and Damon to "analyze their relationship."

Catch The Vampire Diaries on Thursdays on The CW at 8 p.m. ET.
