The attraction between Finn Polmar (Matthew Goode) and Alicia (Julianna Margulies) has been slow burning through season 6 and a lot of fans wonder if this will be of any real consequence in the future.

Kalinda To Appear In Finale, Which Will Answer 'A Lot Of Questions

To see this form into any kind of relationship, Goode will have to return for season 7. In a recent interview with TVLine, co-creators Robert and Michelle King addressed the question. The duo didn't offer much hope or confirmation:

"Can we leave that a little open at the moment? We're lining up casting for next year, and not all the Ts are crossed and the Is are dotted yet."

The Kings also spoke about Alicia's romantic life in general and what was going on with her personal life, putting season 6 in perspective and moving forward. Also if Finn was probably good for her.

"With Will, the problems seemed to be almost lined up against her, like it was fate, that the timing was never right," Robert said. "She's discovering this year that she's part of the problem. She has an attraction to bad boys that may then keep her from going to someone who's right for her. Whether Finn is right for her is a question viewers have, and did she go in another direction because there's something in her that pulls her away from true happiness?"

Michelle added about how Alicia has just about finally come back out of the vacuum she got sucked into after Will's (Josh Charles) death.

"What we've see this season of Alicia is a thawing out of the chill she experienced after Will's murder, but she has not committed to anything," Michelle said. "She was willing to tiptoe around the idea of having some fun, but it never went deeper than that."

The next episode, titled 'Don't Fail' will air on May 3.
