'Fear The Walking Dead' Producer Shares New Details About Series

While AMC has yet to announced an official premiere date, on Tuesday, a Walking Dead fan page sparked rumors after they made the announcement that the show would air on June 12.

"Could be just a rumor, but I swear I saw an article about June 12th. Hopefully they announce the official date soon! Sorry guys," the Twitter post said.

AMC's 'Fear The Walking Dead' To Be 'About The Heart'?

While it's unclear how true the rumors are, it has been confirmed that the new series will be available to watch on the TV streaming site Hulu.

On Wednesday, Digital Trends reported that AMC partnered with the streaming service and the site obtained executive rights to stream the forthcoming spinoff.

"AMC Networks has an incredible reputation and track record in producing captivating storytelling across a variety of genres for true connoisseurs of television," said Mike Hopkins, Chief Executive Officer at Hulu.

"This huge partnership guarantees that Hulu viewers will soon be able to enjoy the newest slate of premium programming from some of the top cable networks."

Earlier this month Mashable reported that while the series will focus heavily on the zombie apocalypse, viewers will not get any information about the back story into how the virus outbreak started.

"Learning the origins is not the priority in Walking Dead; that's not the priority in Fear The Walking Dead," show creator Robert Kirkman said. "Every other story deals with that stuff and we're concerned about the heart."

Kirkman told the site that the show, "will take viewers back to a timid time when The Walking Dead were more dangerous and more of an ever present threat."
