For anyone who's been wondering what the future holds for General Renaude on Reign, it definitely appears that his story will have major depth.

Chatter On Mary & Conde's Romance On 'Reign'

On Thursday, Access Hollywood posted an interview with actor Vince Nappo (Renaude) who dished on the connection he has with Kenna as well as with his son and Conde.

"He gets really honest with [Kenna] and he talks about how his son was taken from him and I get the sense from it that it's a big motivation for him, and his pursuit to climb is about trying to find his son as well and that the higher you climb in those ranks, the loftier friends you make and what those friends can do for you-I mean, it's politics, right?" Nappo said. "And so, you know, Conde's a very big catch."

Chatter On Mary & Francis' Death Investigation On 'Reign'

The actor pointed out in a previous episode, his character's name is mentioned a few times since Renaude is someone who doesn't play by the rules. So what does this mean for his future on the series?

"There's something I think in him, like a contract soldier, that is hired to get the job done, however they have to do it," Nappo said. "And so, I think Renaude is kind of rising and he's becoming more and more important and so I think we're gonna see him being given opportunities to continue to rise and we're gonna see the sort of decisions he makes."
