"We did shoot something, but it didn't play," writer/director Joss Whedon told MTV. "The movie has so much. It's so filled. We didn't want it to feel overstuffed. I really wanted to have Loki in it, but I understood the decision that there were now too many voices in the chorus."
It appears viewers will have to content themselves with seeing Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Witch), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olson), Vision (Paul Bettany), War Machine (Don Cheadle), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and, of course, Ultron (James Spader).
