Foxx featured an organ backing the track as he wore a white dinner jacket, black shirt and a large gold chain for the performance.

He is most noted for his acting career, but has record with Kanye West on his number one hit Gold Digger and gained success with his own song Blame It.

The performer took to Facebook before his appearance to express his gratitude for the opportunity.

"Honored to be singing the National Anthem before the ‪#‎MayPac‬ fight tonight. Tune in early!" Foxx wrote along with a photo of the ring and checked in at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

His rendition of the anthem clearly didn't impress the audience as some took to Twitter to express their concerns for the singer.

One Twitter said they were bored during the fight to which another user said: "No, that fight was boring. The real fight was between Jamie fox vs the national anthem."

Another user noted: "What's Jamie Fox singing? It sounds familiar but I can't place it."
