‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 11 News: Doctors ‘Tackle An Unfathomable Crisis’ During Finale? [VIDEO]
Grey's Anatomy's eleventh season has been all over the map of emotions.
A 'Catastrophic Event' Will Cause More Troubles With The Medical Staff On 'Grey's Anatomy'?
There have been highs and lows with the doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital this season and it looks like the finale will be just as traumatic.
The episode set to air this week on Thursday, May 7, is called Time Stops and will deal with "a catastrophic event" rattling the medical staff as noted in the press release because just kind of getting over Dr. Derek Shepherd's (Patrick Dempsey) tragic death wasn't enough.
Upset 'Grey's Anatomy' Fans Petition For Dr. Derek Shepherd's Return
The episode that is set to air the following Thursday on May 14 is the season's finale called You're My Home, which seems to hint that the "catastrophic event" will continue to cause chaos at the hospital.
In the press release for this episode, it notes that the medical staff "will continue to tackle an unfathomable crisis."
They will be "reminded of what's important and brought closer together."
There is speculation by fans of the medical drama that Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Dr. Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) will become really close as in they will start a romantic relationship.
One fan tweeted that they "love how Alex takes care of Meredith and her kids."
It's totally true too since when she fled in the previous episode, he didn't give up on trying to find her and he was her emergency contact when the hospital called him during Meredith's complicated pregnancy.
Another fan believes the two doctors "will be together" under the stipulation that "the show lasts that long."
There are of course fans that are against the idea of the friends becoming more than friends, but time will tell what happens between these two.
Grey's Anatomy airs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
