‘NCIS’ Season 12 News: Special Agent Ned Dorneget ‘Goes Out A Hero’ & Fans React To His Loss On Twitter [VIDEO]
There is currently a cyber terrorist recruitment arc on CBS' NCIS, which recurring character Ned Dorneget (Matt Jones) has been included in.

The arc began during the episode called Troll from last week and continued Tuesday night during The Lost Boys, in which Dorneget flew to Cairo, Egypt for the case with Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), where his life came to an end.
On Twitter, Pauley Perrette, who portrays Abby Sciuto on the series, revealed Jones specifically asked for his character to "go out a hero" since he has a role on another show (Mom) and "he loves Dorney" and thinks he deserved a proper farewell.

Jones appeared as Dorneget on NCIS for a total of six episodes between 2011 and this year. His first episode was during Season 9 as well as two other episodes. He then appeared again during an episode from Season 10 and just appeared in two episodes for this current season.
In the video below, Dorneget is seen evacuating the hotel of people where he was in Cairo since the terrorist group The Calling planted bombs for an attack, but an innocent civilian set the bombs off, which resulted in Dorneget getting caught in the blasts.
Many fans on Twitter voiced their distaste for killing off one of their favorite recurring characters on the series.
One fan insisted the series "did the fans wrong again."
Another fan tweeted that the series "must stop making me sad."
Others fans shared similar views, but there were some who were understanding of the fact that Jones' character needed to be killed off.
One fan for instance tweeted praise that the series "totally did his character justice!!"
The NCIS team will mourn Dorneget's loss through the finale since his death ties into the case.
NCIS airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
