Bobby Brown is at a standstill as he waits to see if he will get guardianship over Bobbi Kristina Brown’s estate.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported Thursday that there was indeed a meeting in court about the ordeal earlier that day. But the judge has yet to decide whether Bobby will be able to control his daughter’s financial assets.

Bobbi Kristina, who just turned 22 back in March, is currently getting treatment in a rehab facility after being found unresponsive in her bathtub in Roswell, Ga. on Jan. 31.

Following that she was in a coma for almost three months. While she’s no longer in the coma and has opened her eyes, her grandmother Cissy Houston said doctors revealed to her that Bobbi Kristina has “irreversible brain damage” and is in a vegetative state of mind.

Even though Bobby has control over what medical decisions to make regarding Bobbi Kristina’s life and future, he recently filed to also control her estate on April 24.

Bobbi Kristina, the only child of Bobby and late legendary singer Whitney Houston, is the only heir to receive Houston’s inheritance. Houston passed away in eerily similar conditions. She was also found unconscious in a bathtub. The "I Will Always Love You" singer passed away on Feb. 11, 2012. Houston’s sister-in-law and Bobbi Kristina’s aunt, Pat Houston, is listed as the executor of Whitney’s estate. It’s been rumored that it’s worth $20 million.

Steve Worrall, an estate planning, probate and adoption attorney for The Manley Firm in Marietta did agree that, “Certainly somebody needs to handle [Bobbi Kristina’s] financial affairs.”
