January Jones News: Actress Celebrates Mother’s Day, Calls Motherhood ‘The Hardest’ Job [PHOTO, VIDEO]
January Jones has a lot to be thankful for this Mother's Day, with both her son Xavier and her family by her side. The Mad Men star paid a special tribute to her own mother on her Instagram account, while describing both the joy and pain that comes with being a mother herself.
Sharing a photo of her look-alike mother Karen, she wrote, "Happy Mother's Day to my Momma! And to all Mommas everywhere. The actual physical pain of loving so much and worrying so much are just a couple of reasons why being a Mother is the hardest and most rewarding thing a person can do. Being a Mother has been the best gift in my life and always will be."
Just recently, Jones opened up about her on-screen persona Betty Draper Francis in Mad Men and how she'll always be rooting for her, even though the rest of the world isn't.

In a new interview with Vulture, Jones says that she thinks Betty is happy in her marriage to her husband Henry (after years of dealing with her ex-husband Don Draper's infidelity) and that her latest quest to go back to college is "empowering."
Jones said of Betty and Henry together, "I think that he loves her and accepts her for who she is and gives her everything that she's always wanted and all the things that she didn't get from Don. I don't think that we've ever seen her happier."
And while the series is ending at the end of this season, Jones hopes that Betty will finally find the peace in her life that she deserves.
She added, "I think it's super empowering. I mean, Betty was the only character that we saw read anything on feminism. I think we saw her read The Feminine Mystique at one point. Of all the female characters, we would expect Betty to be the least modern in that way. For her to be going to school and educating herself is an awesome step in the right direction."
