'Supergirl' CBS Spoilers: Watch The Hero Save A Plane Crash & Find Her Identity In Six-Minute Promo [VIDEO]
The first look for Supergirl is here...and it's definitely out of this world.
'Glee' Star Wins The Title Role Of Supergirl In Upcoming CBS Series
Released on Wednesday, the clip for the upcoming CBS series shows more than six minutes of Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), the young woman who's cousins with the iconic Clark Kent AKA Superman. Kara comes down to Earth as a child, and as a young woman, she possesses similar qualities that her cousin has- by day, she's awkward and clumsy in the office, but her other job is when she gets armed and heroic.
Kara saves her sister from a plane crash in a wild scene where her identity is 'sort of' exposed. The public knows that a mystery woman saved all those people, but they have no idea who she is. This leads to Kara feeling pretty awesome that the world knows she's a hero so she decides to become the best 'super girl' she can be.
Claire Holt Was Reportedly Up For The Role Of Supergirl
Her friend helps her with her costume and it shows off the spunky and adorable personality that Kara has. She also tries to help out with a big conspiracy that can stop other bad guys, but those people don't take her seriously. With the help of her sister and the victims of the city, Kara uses her powers to be the hero everyone needs her to be.
The promo shows action, comedy, emotional drama and plenty of witty dialogue.
