She was kidnapped and brought back to Italy to face Stefano's (Joseph Mascolo) questions about killing Kristen (Eileen Davidson), and now the race is on back in Salem to get to Marlena (Deidre Hall) and save her before it's too late on Days of Our Lives.

Stefano Confronts Marlena

After she was kidnapped and brought back to the castle where Kristen fell through a window and plunged 500 feet to her death in the sea below, Marlena learned that Stefano wanted to enact his revenge--and he intended to throw her out the very same window to suffer the fate his daughter did. However, if the Salem PD can get there in time, his plans could be thwarted.

It has come to the PD's attention that Marlena is now missing, and Roman (Josh Taylor) and Abe (James Reynolds) are desperate to get her home safe and sound. But before they can get her back, they will need to do everything within their power to convince Stefano's only remaining child--his son, Chad (Billy Flynn)--to turn against his father and help them.

Chad and Abigail Share A Steamy Moment

Before she disappeared, Marlena had been to see Chad and explained her side of the story, trying to drive home the point that she hadn't intended to kill his sister. Soon after, Chad spoke to his father on the phone and seemed angry that he had learned more about the accident from the woman who killed his sister than he had from his own father. He's also been unsure of why exactly his father has insisted on the news of Kristen's death remaining a secret.

Now, with all of this swirling around in his mind, Chad may do the unthinkable and betray his father--and with his help, the quest to save Marlena could prove successful.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
