Kesha News: Singer Opens Up About How She Overcame An Eating Disorder [VIDEO]
Kesha is currently healthy, but it wasn't always that way.
Kesha Wants To Get New Music Out As Soon As Possible
Early last year, the "Tik Tok" singer enterred rehab after a long battle with an eating disorder, and now, looking back, she's opened up about her battle, and how she overcame her weight issues.
“I went to a dark place. There was a lot of not eating -- and I started to think being hungry to the point of feeling almost faint was a positive thing,” Kesha revealed to Vogue Magazine last week.

As Kesha became less and less healthy, her frame became thinner and thinner, and as a result, Kesha received compliments about her new looks, which ultimately made her eating disorder even worse.
"The worse it got, the more positive feedback I was getting. Inside I was really unhappy, but outside, people were like, “Wow, you look great,” Kesha recalled.
Kesha claimed she finally reached her breaking point just before enterring rehab, which she did after speaking to her mother.
“I went to an eating-disorder specific rehab site where a nutritionist taught me that food is a positive thing for your body," she explained. "I realized being healthy is the most important thing I can do for myself.”
Upon enterring treatment, Kesha released the following statement to Us Weekly:
"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice. I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder ... to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."
