During Knight's captivity, she was trapped in a suburban house with two other young women- Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus. A man named Ariel Castro kept them locked up in a room with chains around them where they were constantly beaten and raped.
One day, Berry was able to get out of the room where a neighbor noticed her when she was trying to get the door down from the house. When he helped her get out, the cops were called and the girls got away. Castro was taken to prison where he commit suicide there.
Despite the nightmare these girls faced, they have given a number of interviews on what the future holds for them and how they plan to get their lives back on track. And based on Knight's new gig, it sounds like the victims are succeeding.
