It looks as though the Duggar family won't be the only ones hurting from Josh Duggar's sexual molestation scandal. The TLC network is also being slammed for their ill-fated transition from being the learning network to a schedule full of "freak shows" that one writer says were all bound to explode.

Michael Starr of the New York Post criticized TLC for exploiting "freak-and-sex obsessed" shows such as Toddlers and Tiaras, Honey Boo Boo, and 19 Kids & Counting.

Even though the network issued a statement saying that they were "deeply saddened" over the recent turn of events which included Josh Duggar admitting to sexually molesting five girls back in 2002 and 2003 (four of which allegedly were his sisters), Starr says that the disgraced channel should have known all that this was surely going to happen.

He writes, "Yes, TLC, this is what happens when your TV lineup includes My Big Fat Fabulous Life, The Little Couple, Sister Wives, My 600-Lb. Life, My Strange Addiction, Sex Sent Me to the ER, Abby & Brittany (conjoined-at-the-head twins) and My Five Wives. You even revived Kate Gosselin from Jon & Kate Plus Eight infamy for a return special."

Starr added, "You can repeat all you want, TLC, about how these shows are 'empowering' and spotlight people who otherwise would fly below society's radar. No one believes that. You exploited them. Do me a favor, TLC. Please don't say you never saw this coming. You play with fire, you're gonna get burned. Badly."

So far, none of the Duggar sisters have made any comments regarding their brother Josh's scandal.
