'Captain America: Civil War' New Casting Call, Who's Heading To Washington? [VIDEO]
Captain America: Civil War will ditch stunts for politics in its next round of filming.
The 2016 Marvel film spent much of May filming Wakanda fight sequences between Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Crossbones (Frank Grillo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Falcon (Anthony Mackie), but a new casting call reveals that production will soon enter the red-tie world of Washington (see video below).
Now the Superhero Registration Act looming on the horizon, it isn't particularly surprising that Caps 3 will foray into the political arena, however briefly.
The Atlanta-based set is currently looking for background actors and extras to play senators, congressmen, congresswomen, congressional aides, police officer, reporters, and photographers, according to Backstage. A college campus will also crop up in the film, and casting is seeking actors to fill the roles of professors and students.
Captain America: Civil War is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and will take place in the wake of Ultron's devastating destruction. Featuring a massive cast, the film will see the return of most of the Avengers along with the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Agent 33 (Emily VanCamp), the Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd).
