Taylor Swift Teased At CMA Awards For Conor Kennedy Romance [VIDEO]
At the Country Music Awards on Thursday, hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley had some fun with "Safe and Sound" singer Taylor Swift. They cracked jokes about all the different trades in sports but they also included a certain Kennedy family swap, which welcomed Swift into the mix.
"Let's look at sports, I cant keep track of all these trades," Paisley said on stage. "You turn on the TV, Peyton Manning is a Bronco..."
"Tim Tebow is a Jet," Underwood interjected.
"The greatest trade of the year had to be though the Kennedy family," Paisley then said. "Who somehow traded Arnold Schwarzenegger for Taylor Swift. I mean what they got for that..."
However, it seems like the country singer is not so up to date with his celebrity news. As the crowd laughed, Underwood whispered to Paisley that Swift and Kennedy have actually broken up. Paisley then said out loud, "What! Why don't I ever hear about these things? I'm the last to know?!"
From there, the two discussed if Swift and Kennedy would ever get back together, making reference to Swift's hit song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."
Swift was all smiles though and took the joke lightly.
She performed on Thursday night "Begin Again," a song from her new album "Red." The music video was shot in Paris with landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre in the background. Swift brought Paris to Nashville on Thursday night and belted out the song in her trademark red lipstick in a scene set to look like a street in France, with a Parisian cafe to go with it. As the song ended, the lights dimmed and an image of an illuminated Eiffel Tower shined in the background.
Swift was up for a few awards but took home none. That night, the Entertainer of the Year award passed over her and went to "The Voice" mentor Blake Shelton.
