Leah Messer News: 'Teen Mom 2' Star Returns To Rehab At MTV's Request [VIDEO]
Leah Messer has reportedly been forced into rehab by MTV.
Did Leah Messer Just Address Recent Rumors?
Earlier this month, the Teen Mom 2 star was said to have entered treatment for an alleged addiction to prescription pills. Although reports days later claimed Messer had already left, she has since reportedly returned -- at the request of her employer.
"Leah left for rehab last Thursday, and it is likely being filmed for the sixth season of ‘Teen Mom 2,’" a production source revealed to The Ashley's Reality Roundup on Wednesday.
Did 'Teen Mom 2' Star Leah Messer Already Leave Rehab?
"Leah didn’t exactly go willingly, however," the production source told the site. "The show’s producers had to essentially force Leah to go. They used something in her contract terms to force her to go to rehab, and...producers basically refused to continue their contract with her until she went."
Three days after Messer allegedly entered rehab for what was supposed to be a 30-day treatment program, The Ashley's reported she had left.
On the day Messer was alleged to have entered rehab, her best friend, Kayla Roush, seemingly confirmed the news, sharing a photo of Messer on Facebook, which included a suitcase in the back. In the caption of the photo, Roush explained to fans how "proud" she was of the mother of three, although she did not say why.
Leah Messer returns to MTV in Teen Mom 2 season 6, which is scheduled to premiere on July 9 at 10 p.m.
