There is no doubt that Jamie Dornan is having one of the best years of his career. The Hollywood actor has recently opened up about his role as Paul Spektor in the highly-acclaimed BBC series, The Fall, and whether or not there's a chance that he might get his first Emmy nomination this year.

According to Gold Derby on Friday, the Irish native says that while being recognized and rewarded for your work is one of the best feelings an actor can have, he doesn't think he's up to that level of acting just yet. That, or he's being very modest about his abilities.

Dornan said, "Awards are great because you put a lot of work in and you feel proud about what you've done often, and sometimes no one cares, and now and again, certain institutions care, and that's a great thing ... To even be nominated for any of these things is a massive enough deal. I wouldn't even let myself get into the world of what it would be like to win."

The actor also admitted that he's not proud of everything he has to do for his roles. The married father-of-one says he sometimes feels horrible for the awful things he has to do to his female co-stars while filming scenes.

According to the Belfast Telegraph on Friday, he always feels very apologetic after filming murder scenes with his co-stars in The Fall. Dornan plays serial killer Paul Spektor in the highly-acclaimed television drama.

He said, "t was more difficult in the first season when there's more of seeing Spector in the act and actually carrying out these horrific crimes. You're with some lovely actress, and you're having to do kind of horrible things to her. I was always very apologetic, and when I was finished I always felt like I needed to get myself as far from that head space as I can."
