The Josh Duggar sexual molestation case is just getting more messier as new details emerge of exactly what happened when he allegedly abused five young girls when he was a teenager back in 2002. Now, his parents Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar are being slammed for showing their support for their son during the fallout of his case while completely ignoring his victims.

Rose Schmidt of USA Today writes on Friday that she will never watch another episode of 19 Kids & Counting or show her support for the Duggar family because of the way they have tried to cover up the scandal.

She criticizes parents Michelle and Jim Bob by writing, "Instead of focusing on how the female victims have coped with what happened to them, their media statements have usually highlighted Josh's side, with him looking tragically sorry. But if you do something wrong, why make excuses and pretend like you haven't hurt anyone? Josh Duggar's actions affected many people, and failing to address the issue after it happened may have scarred these women for life."

What's more, Schmidt says that the Duggar is supposedly making it seem like it's "ok to blame the victims," in this case, the five young adolescent girls that Josh sexually abused over a decade ago, with four of those girls rumored to be his own sisters.

She explains, "It's never OK to blame the victims, and the idea that "they were asking for it" is utterly ridiculous. The Duggar family is known for dressing conservatively, and the family's TV show even pokes fun at their restrictions on physical contact. The children are only allowed to hold hands with someone once they're engaged, kissing is only acceptable when they're married, and most outrageously, siblings and potential spouses are only allowed to give each other "side hugs." Yet they still tried to spin the allegations to blame the victims for tempting Josh.
