'Nashville' Season 4 Premiere: Teddy Is Reportedly Not Coming Back As A Series Regular In Future Episodes [VIDEO]
Prepare to say a likely farewell to a big Nashville character in the fourth season.
'Nashville' Actress Will 'Not' Be Okay If Deacon Dies
On Sunday, TV Line announced that Eric Close, who plays Teddy on the ABC music drama, won't be returning as a series regular in future episodes. After he was clasped in handcuffs at the end of the third season, it appears that he won't be back that much anymore.
The site said that ABC didn't comment on this, but apparently the reason for not having Teddy around is so the show can focus more on the music aspect as opposed to the politics.
'Nashville' Gets Renewed For A Fourth Season
It's unclear on exactly how many more episodes that Close will be in, but it doesn't seem like there will be more than a few. Considering that he is the father of Rayna's daughters, it's doubtful he would be gone forever. In fact, a source mentioned that the actor will likely have a guest appearance.
Meanwhile, Deacon had his operation, but fans are wondering if he made it through or not; there was a flatline at the hospital, leaving the possibility that the character could be killed off. But if it's not him, then it could be Beverly. Either way though, Deacon will have some sort of loss since survivor's guilt might take place if Beverly truly was the one to pass.
Nashville Season 4 is expected to premiere this fall on ABC.
