Jamie Dornan is having one of the biggest years of his career, and it looks like it's about to get bigger. There's a new report that suggests the Irish actor deserves to get his first Emmy nomination for his role as the chilling Paul Spector in the hit BBC drama, The Fall.

According to CarterMatt.com on Wednesday, Dornan's nomination should be a shoe-in at this year's awards ceremony.

The site writes, "Given that this is an American awards show, he will be recognized for the U.S. broadcaster; regardless of that, Dornan should be recognized period for playing a character so dark and chilling as Paul Spector on this British crime drama. He's legitimately terrifying, and it to us is such a fall cry from where we first came to know him as Sheriff Graham on 'Once Upon a Time.'"

Just recently, Dornan said he sometimes felt horrible for the awful things he has to do to his female co-stars while filming scenes.

According to the Belfast Telegraph on Friday, he always feels very apologetic after filming murder scenes with his co-stars in The Fall.

He said, "it was more difficult in the first season when there's more of seeing Spector in the act and actually carrying out these horrific crimes. You're with some lovely actress, and you're having to do kind of horrible things to her. I was always very apologetic, and when I was finished I always felt like I needed to get myself as far from that head space as I can."
