A fan asked the captain what "the best prank" he has ever witnessed was and Johnathan went on to reflect on the captains that came before him and the prank they were known for playing on the newer crew members.
"One of my favorites is the Capts[.] in the old days would tell the greenhorns to write letters home, that they would drop off at the 'mail buoy'... but there is no mail buoy! We would read their letters," he dished, adding, "One guy wrote how 'it's just like Vietnam'... it was hilarious."
The Time Bandit's captain also shared if he had to be a deckhand on another boat he'd pick The Northwestern, which is run by Captain Sig Hansen. Speaking of Hansen, Johnathan revealed he'd like to see him "working on" his deck on The Time Bandit.
"I'd start off 'I'll shake your hand at the end of the trip!'" he shared about his choice of Hansen.
He'd even make Hansen as "Baitboy."
Deadliest Catch airs on the Discovery Channel on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
