Josh Duggar Molestation Scandal: Pregnant Sister Jessa Duggar Admits To Being A Victim, Critics Call Her ‘Brainwashed’ [VIDEO]
It hasn't been an easy couple of weeks for the Duggars, and it looks like things are about to get even tougher on the reality television family. Jessa Duggar has admitted that she was a victim of her brother Josh Duggar's sexual abuse back in 2002 and 2003 and is now telling fans "not to call him a child molester." Instead, those same fans are calling her a "brainwashed fool" for her latest statement about her brother and the case.
According to Us Weekly on Wednesday, Jessa told her side of the story in an upcoming interview with Fox News host Megyn Kelly.
"I do want to speak up in his defense against people who are calling him a child molester or a pedophile or a rapist, some people are saying," Jessa told Kelly. "I'm like, 'That is so overboard and a lie really.' I mean people get mad at me for saying that, but I can say this because I was one of the victims."
Many of the site's readers commented on her statement almost immediately, while blasting the Duggar family for being "irresponsible" and allowing Josh to still live in the same house as his victims.
One fan wrote, "Jessa is just a brainwashed robot that will say anything that Jim Boob has told her to say. Jim Boob forced Jessa's attacker to live in the same house as she did and forced her to forgive him. Just because she was a victim of the crime doesn't give her the right to absolve Josh of his horrific actions. Battered women are always making excuses for their abusers as well."
Another fan wrote, "She's even more brainwashed than i thought! Jessa, you can't call yourself a victim of someone who touched you inappropriately as a child but then say he's not a cm or rapist. It doesn't work like that. He is one and what he did to you is wrong and you need not defend him. I hope these girls seek some therapy, they have children to raise."
Megyn Kelly's interview with Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar airs Friday, June 5th on the Fox News network.
